As the family gathers at his bedside and prays,
As his life is slowly slipping away,
He worked so hard all of his life,
To take care of his children and his loving wife,
He never showed weakness to his family and friends,
He always had a smile that we can still see in the end,
As he struggles to take each and every breath,
The family can see his soon to be death,
They gather together to say their final good-byes,
And as they do many tears they do cry,
They know that he is going to a much better place,
And he hopes they remember all the memories that he did make,
As he struggles to breathe his pain slowly fades,
And upon his face he does not appear afraid,
He finally looks so peaceful and calm,
As the Lord sends his Angels to take a hold of his palm,
He slips away to a beautiful place,
And in Gods arms he will soon be embraced,
He is watching over us from upon a star,
And when we think of him he is never very far,
He is in our hearts forever and for always,
Just know that someday we'll be with him in that great hideaway,
He is no longer suffering from anymore pain,
His body is whole and healthy once again.
