Jamie Oliver and the Food Revolution, this may not be a local event, business or person but his message does hit home. How much do we know about the food our kids are eating? I would like to think that we are somewhat more enlighten here in Mifflin County, but are we? I do not have those answers but one can hope and perhaps inspire others to care enough about it. Yes, I am fully aware its a reality show and there is certain media spin on things but the message is clear, the facts are there minus all the shows gimmicks or glamor. Do the research, use common sense and for those that were part of the Mifflin CountyMeltdown, you know some of these facts, it's not something that can be ignored and hope others will solve it for us. Inspire others to do the same, as Jamie has tried to do for all us. If our community can come together to hold a huge event like the Meltdown, we can surely get involved in our schools and make sure they start off right and never have to take part in a Meltdown.
